Guided Tours

The Peat Museum’s exhibitions tell the surprisingly exciting story of fuel peat and a nearly forgotten industrial adventure – full of inventions, tough characters, and harsh conditions. Of course, not everything could fit into the exhibition texts, but you can discover even more stories, insights, and maybe even a tall tale or two by joining one of our guided tours.

Take a guided tour through the museum exhibitions with one of our knowledgeable historical guides. Hear about the Bronze Age farmers’ environmental disaster, a grumpy Roman visitor in the boglands, and peat-related crime during the war – or follow the tale of Norddjurs told through our beautiful regional tapestry.

During high season, public guided tours are offered every day at 11 a.m. They last between 45 minutes and an hour and are included in the admission price. If you’re bringing a group – or just fancy a tour all to yourself – private tours can also be booked. The choice is yours!
